Sardinia’s stage race announces a 10th edition full of novelties with no transfers, more show and the UCI affiliation. The registrations are now open with a special fee until May 31st
Aritzo (Italy), February 15th, 2024 – The Rally di Sardegna MTB – Stage Race scores double figures celebrating the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) affiliation, the world governing body for sports cycling. Sardinia’s stage race blinking to the MTB specialists will be on stage again next 27th to 31st August and the tenth edition full of entertainment and involvement.
Organized by Wild Track ASD under the aegis of the Italian Cycling Federation and the Union Cycliste Internationale, the Rally di Sardegna MTB – Stage Race will unfold in four stages, with headquarters in Aritzo and confirmed stages in Seulo and Desulo. The event is promoted by the Tourism, Crafts and Commerce Department of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia.
The 2024 format includes two important novelties: no transfer and a circuit route, in order to improve enjoyment and involvement of the passionate public.
REGISTRATIONS
The organizing committee has opened registrations for the Sardinia MTB Rally – Stage Race, with a special formula: until May 31st the participation fee is 240 euros, from June 1st to July 20th is 280 euros. For those who will eventually register from July 20th to August 15th, admission to the event costs 350 euros.
THE LATEST WINNERS
The former XCM World Championships silver medallist Diego Arias (Hubbers Polimedical Official Team) was the last to put his seal on the Sardinia MTB Rally, in 2022. Before him, Italy’s Nicolas Samparisi dominated 2019 edition, before the stop to the event caused by the pandemic, whilst Spaniard Ismael Ventura had done the en-plein of stages one year before, clinching a deserved overall success.
